Sony STR-V333ES - Setting up the 2 way remote

This receiver is shipped fi'om the factory with the 2 way
remote control system set to "ON". Normally, you can use
the receiver as is.
However, if you want to use this receiver together with
another component that is also compatible with the 2 way
remote control system, be sure to periorm the following
operation to limit response to signals sent fi'om the remote
controls.
To use with the TA-E9000ES
Pertorm the tollowing steps to turn OFF this unit's 2 way
relnote control system. Also, be sure the TA E9000ES is
turned on when using this unit.
To use with other components that have the _N
logo
Turn OFF the other component's 2 way remote control
systeln. For details, refl_r to the operating instructions
suppled with your other components.
To use with Sony CD players CDP-CX260 or CDP-
CX88ES
Turn OFF the remote control adapter switch on the
CDP CX260 or CDP CX88ES. For details, reDr to the
operating instructions suppled with the CDP-CX260 or
CDP-CX88ES.
Also when using several 2 way remote control system
components together, be sure to place them close together
in order to enable proper remote operation.
1 Press SET UP.
2 Press the cursor buttons (< or >) to select "2 WAY
REMOTE".
3 Turn the jog dial to select "ON" or "OFF".
Change the command mode of the receiver and the
supplied remote (RM LJ304) ti'om its default "AV1"
setting to "AV2" in the following cases:
• When you want to change the output fi'om the 2ND AV
jacks using RM-US104 in the 2nd rooin (STR-V444ES
only).
• When you want to use 2 Sony receivers in the same
rooi'fl with the remote.
1 Press SET UP.
2 Press the cursor buttons (< or >) to select
"COMMAND MODE".
3 Turn the jog dial to select "AVI" or "AV2".
Notes
• When you change the command mode of the receiver to "AV2",
he sure to change the con-lmand mode of the supplied remote
(RM LJ304)to "AV2". For details, see the operating instructions
fur the supplied remote (RM LJ304).
• For details on how to use RM US104, see the operating
instructions fiorthe supplied remote (RM US104).
Select the color of the on-screen display. You can
select either "COLOR" or "MONOCHROME". The color
of the on-screen display is set to "COLOR" by defauh.
1 Press SET UP.
2 Press the cursor buttons (_ or _) to select "OSD
COLOR".
3 Turn the jog dial to select "COLOR" or
"MONOCHROME".
