Pump is loud.  Improve suction conditions.
 Adjust pump unit.
 Increase the pressure on the
suction discharge.
Pump strained or
vibrations in the pipes.
 Check pipe connections and
pump fasteners, if necessary
reduce the pipe bracket
spacing.
 Fasten pipes using vibration
reducing materials.
Pump shaft slipped.
 Fix pump shaft. See point 8.5.5
on page 40
