9. Hold ribbon cables down and under base of replacement robotics
10. Align center slot in base of robotics with center guide rail in chassis, position
robotics approx. 2 - 3 inches into the library after engagement with center guide
rail then STOP
11. Verify center guide rail is correctly engaged with center slot in base of robotics
Gently attempt to lift robotics upward. It should not be free in this direction
Powering library on with center guide rail not engaged with robotics will result in
move failures and/or robotics damage
12. Route gear rail in chassis into gear rail channel in base of robotics (left side)
It may be necessary to flex the gear rail to properly install
13. Verify gear rail engages gears in robotics assembly
Gently rotate robotics counter-clockwise
Rotate only - do not push on robotics
Robotics should move into the library
o If not, gear rail is not correctly routed in base of robotics
14. Verify both ribbon cables are protruding out front of library and underneath
robotics assembly
15. Reconnect robotics ribbon cable
Reseat cable into connector
Reinstall plastic cable clip in same orientation as it was removed
16. Hold front of gear rail down firmly to prevent it from buckling
Then push robotics into the library until it stops at back of library
17. Reconnect front panel ribbon cable
Ensure both sides of ZIF connector are seated
ZIF connector is easily damaged and not field replaceable. If damaged, a new
front panel must be ordered
18. Route front panel ribbon cable under two retention tabs
19. Verify ribbon cable has not been pulled out of ZIF connector
