11.2.3 Mounting of the reader
Initially, connect fastening angle and reader with the
connecting screw. Do not tighten the screw for further
improvments .
Remove the aluminium rail and the first sliding jaw to
insert the band inside the reader.
Check the presence of second sliding jaw before
inserting the band.
Check also the right orientation of the holes with the
aid of the marking on the reader.
Push the sliding jaw against the band , then close
the reader housing, by inserting the aluminium rail
from top to bottom.
Put the fastening angle on the car roof and re-adjust if
necessary.
Screw the fastening angle and retighten the connecting
screw.
The band must be mounted vertically and straight (left image)
In addition, the tape must be fed straight through the encoder in order to prevent premature wear of the sliding
jaws (right image)
