2 General safety instructions
DANGER
Observe the safety information without fail:
• National and international directives and regulations must be observed for erection,
commissioning, operation and periodic tests, in particular the Machinery Directive
2006/42/EC, the directive for the use of work equipment 89/655/EEC, safety regula-
tions and relevant national safety regulations.
• The manufacturer and user of the machine or system must agree and observe all
valid safety regulations with the appropriate office on his own responsibility.
• Detailed regulations for commissioning and testing are described in chapter 5.
2.1 Requirements for installation
WARNING
For applications with the device please observe the following
information on electrical
installation:
• If it is to be installed in a control cabinet, the type of protection must be min. IP 54.
• Carry out wiring in compliance with EN 60204-32.
• The load sensor cable must be shielded. The shield is connected to the ground close
to the device (ideally, directly next to the device).
• If there is an intermediate terminal on the load sensor lead, connect the shield
isolated from the ground (e.g. with a standard terminal).
Analog leads (load sensor, Temp1 and Temp2) must be routed separate from high-
voltage cables (e.g. routed separately in different channels or bundles).
2.2 Residual dangers
DANGER
• is prevented when energy supply is reconnected
• The control must also ensure this feature.
Bodily injury from crushing, tearing off or even death.
The safety instructions must be observed and applied!
WARNING
ct contact with supply voltage:
Fatal contact voltages can occur:
• due to incorrect wiring
• by not disconnecting the supply voltage when working on the control
Physical damage may be lasting, e.g. ventricular fibrillation, burns
• This must be taken into account by the skilled electrician and corresponding action
must be taken.
CAUTION
• Never bridge the device
• Operating personnel must be trained by the system user in order to prevent operating
errors. (See original operating instructions of hoist).
