11.Turn on the power using the switch located at the frontof theprinter. The
printer will beep, indicating that thepaper isnot yet fully loaded. A “PE>’
message will also flash on the LCD display to confirm this.

12.Now pull the bail lever toward the front of the printer. The paper will be
fed and adjusted past the print head to a position ready for printing.

NOTE: Do not return the bail lever backward. The bail lever automatically
returns to itsoriginalposition after thepaper goes through underthe
bail lever location.
13.If you want to setthe paper to a different position, set the printer off-line
by pressing the !
ON LINE

button, then set the paper by using the
micro-feed function. (For details, refer to Chapter 4.)
