going uphill. Avoid slopes with extremely slippery or loose surface. Do not open the throttle abruptly or shift
gears. Do not cross the hill point at high speed.
● Always observe the downhill technique indicated in this Manual. Carefully study the territory before going
downhill. Shift your body weight backward. Do not go downhill at high speed. Do not go downhill at an
angle that may cause the vehicle to incline abruptly to one side. Go downhill in a straight line if possible.
● Always observe the slope crossing technique indicated in this Manual. Try to avoid driving on hills with
excessively slippery or loose surface. Shift your body weight to the top side of the vehicle category T3b.
Do not try to make a U-turn on a hill before mastering the turning technique on level ground.
