To charge the accumulator battery
In case of the battery discharge signs charge it
as soon as possible. Mind that the accumulator
battery discharges faster with additional
equipment installed on the vehicle.
To charge a sealed accumulator battery use a
special charger (DC)
Using a common charger may reduce the
accumulator service life.
To store the accumulator battery
1. If the vehicle is not used for over 10 days, remove
the accumulator battery, charge it full and put it in
a cool dry place.
2. If the accumulator battery will be stored for over
two months, check its condition at least once a
month and charge it full, if necessary.
3. When installing the accumulator battery upon
long - term storage, make sure that it is fully
charged. Check the battery correct connection.
_________________________________
Always keep the accumulator battery charged.
Keeping the battery discharged may cause its
complete failure.
A conventional charger may damage the
accumulator battery. Use the automatic tripping
chargers.

WASHING THE VEHICLE 650/800/850 GUEPARD
95
The vehicle category T3b washing
Frequent and thorough washing not only improves
the vehicle o utside appearance but also increases
its specifications and the service life of many
components. Prior to washing the vehicle:
1. Plug the exhaust pipe opening to prevent water
penetration. A plastic bag or a rubber band may
be used for that purpose.
2. Make sure that the spark plug and all the filler
ports covers are in their places.
3. If the engine is heavily polluted clean it with
a brush and a degreasing agent. Keep the
degreasing agent from touching the wheel axis.
4. Wash the dirt and detergent off with a hose. The
water jet pressure should not be too high.
_____________________________________
The high pressure water jet may penetrate
the wheel bearings, brake mechanisms,
transmission sealing and electric devices. The
use of high-pressure washers may result in the
vehicle costly repair.

5. Upon washing off the dirt, wash all the surfaces
with a mild soap solution.
The hard-to-reach places may be cleaned with an
old tooth brush or a bottle brush.
6. Wash the vehicle category T3b with fresh water and
wipe dry all the surfaces with a clean napkin or special
absorbing fabric.
7. Clean the saddle with a purpose-specific cleaning
agent.
8. All the painted and chrome plated surfaces
should be polished with automobile wax. Avoid
using wax, which contains additions of cleaning
agents. They may be abrasive, which may cause
scratches on the polished outer painting coat.
9. After washing the vehicle start the engine for several
minutes and let it operate at idle speed.

Wet braking mechanisms are inefficient: the
braking path may increase, enhancing the
accident likelihood. Check the brakes upon
washing. Moving at low speed engage the
braking mechanisms several times. This will dry
the brake pads.
