STORAGE AND LAYING-UP
3. Perform the following operations to protect the
cylinders, piston rings, etc. from corrosion:
- Remove the spark plug metal part and unscrew
the spark plug.
- Pour a teaspoonful of the engine oil in the spark
plug socket.
- Set the spark plug metal part on the spark plug,
then place the spark plug on a cylinder head so
that the electrodes were closed on the frame. (This
will limit the spark occurrence during the following
operation)
- Turn the engine crankshaft with a starter for several
times. (This will facilitate covering the cylinder walls
with oil)
- Remove the spark plug metal segment. Upon
installing the spark plug put a metal segment on it.
4. Lubricate all the control cables and all the lever
and pedal pins.
5. Check and, if necessary, adjust the tyre inflation
pressure, then lift the vehicle category T3b
so that all the wheels are raised. It is acceptable
to turn the wheels monthly instead to prevent
their properties deterioration in one point.
6. To prevent the moisture penetration, cover the
exhaust pipes openings with plastic bags.
The short-term storage (up to ten days)
Always keep your vehicle category T3b in a cold,
dry place and covered with a protective cover, if the
dust protection is required.

Keeping the vehicle in a poorly ventilated space
or keeping a wet vehicle under a canvas cloth
will r esult in water and moisture contact with the
vehicle components, causing the mechanisms
corrosion.
To prevent corrosion avoid keeping the vehicle
in damp underground store rooms and in the
concentrated chemicals storing places.

Long-term storage and laying-up
Prior to the vehicle long-term storage:
1. Perform operations provided in the “Washing”
paragraph of the present section.
2. Fill up the fuel tank to the maximum level and add
fuel oil stabilizer to prevent the fuel deterioration.
Specified amount: 7.5 ml of the fuel oil
stabilizer per liter of the fuel.
