13.3.2 Setting the heating curve (WPM)
Note
For the following steps, please observe the heat pump
manager operating and installation instructions.
The efficiency of a heat pump decreases with rising flow tem-
perature. Adjust the heating curve carefully. Heating curves that
are set too high lead to the zone and thermostatic valves closing,
which may result in the minimum flow rate required for the heat-
ing circuit not being achieved.
The following steps will help you to adjust the heating curve cor-
rectly:
Fully open the thermostatic valves or zone valves in the lead
room.
Note
We do not recommend installing thermostatic or zone
valves in the lead room. Control the room temperature in
these rooms via the FE7 or FEK remote control.
At different outside temperatures, adjust the heating curve
so the required temperature is achieved in the lead room.

Heating curve 0.4 0.8

Room temperature 20 °C 20 °C
Adjusting the room temperature in spring and autumn
If the room temperature in spring and autumn is too low at ap-
prox. 10 °C outside temperature, increase parameter
ROOM T‐HC1
or ROOM T‐HC2.
!
Damage to the appliance and environment
If no remote control is installed, increasing parameter
ROOM T‐HC1 or ROOM T‐HC2 leads to a parallel offset of
the heating curve.
Adjusting the room temperature at low outside temperatures
If the room temperature is not high enough at low outside tem-
peratures, increase parameter
HTG CURVE.
If parameter
HTG CURVE has been raised, adjust the zone or ther-
mostatic valve in the lead room to the required temperature at
high outside temperatures.
!
Damage to the appliance and environment
Do not use the zone or thermostatic valves to reduce the
room temperature. Use the relevant parameters, e.g.
ROOM T‐HC1.
13.4 Further WPM settings
13.4.1 For operation without buffer cylinder
At the commissioning level of the heat pump manager, call
up parameter
B‐PUMP R‐TIME.
Activate the constant running of the buffer cylinder primary
pump.
Connect the heating circuit pump to the buffer cylinder pri-
mary pump terminals in accordance with the technical guide.
When everything has been implemented correctly, the system
can be heated to its maximum operating temperature and vented
once again.
!
Damage to the appliance and environment
With underfloor heating systems, observe the maximum
permissible temperature for the underfloor heating sys-
tem.
13.4.2 When using the heat-up program
If you use the heat-up program, make the following settings on
the WPM:
First, set parameter
DUAL MODE HEAT to 30°C.
Then set parameter
HEAT LIMIT to 30°C.
Note
After the heat-up process, reset parameters DUAL MODE
HEAT
and HEAT LIMIT to the standard values or to the
system values.

sioning report").
