. Push the connector housing (2) onto control
unit's contacts (4) until it clicks into position.
. Tighten the screw (1) to 4.0 lbf in (0.5 Nm).
. Push the ignition lead (5) into the guides
(arrows) on top of the wiring harness.
. Fit the spark plug boot.
. Assemble all other parts.
6.3 Wiring Harness
6.3.1 Removing the Wiring Harness
. Pull the connector housing off the control unit –
see b 6.2.1
. Remove the air filter and baffle.
. Pry out the choke rod – while pushing the
Master Control Lever™ down in direction of
"Start" }.
The contact spring jumps off the switch shaft.
. Pull the contact spring off the filter base.
. Pry the yellow ground wire's terminal (1) out of
the guide (arrow) and then pull it off.
. Pry the black short circuit wire's terminal (2) out
of the switch shaft (arrow) and then pull it off.
. Remove the filter base.
. Pull connector (3) out of connector housing (4)
on carburetor carrier.
. Press down the locking tab (arrow) to separate
the connector (3).
