Safety Precautions and Working Techniques

Fueling

Gasoline is an extremely flammable fuel

Information Before You Start

With the engine stopped and before starting, check the air intake grille

Starting

Place the unit securely on the ground

Secure the unit on level ground before pulling the starter.

Make sure you have a firm footing

Ensure stable footing and hold the unit firmly.

Hold the starter grip with your right hand.

Grip the starter rope handle correctly.

Do not pull out the starter rope all the way

Avoid pulling the rope out too far to prevent damage.

Do not let the starter grip snap back.

When the engine begins to fire:

As soon as the engine runs

Let the engine run at idle for a short period.

If the engine does not start

Pull off the spark plug boot.

Open the throttle fully.

Now start the engine.
