– Remove the rewind starter,

– Remove remaining rope from the
rope rotor and starter grip.
: Thread end of new rope through
the underside of the starter grip
and pull it out.
: Secure the end of the rope with
one of special knots shown.
– Pull the rope back into the starter
grip.
– Thread the other end of the rope
through the guide bush (2) from
outside.
– Thread the rope through the hole
in the side of the rope rotor (1).
: Pull out the rope and secure it
with a simple overhand knot.
: Pull the rope back into the rotor
so that the knot locates in the
recess (1).
– Tension the rewind spring,
