11 Operating the Trimmer
Hold the trimmer firmly with your right hand on the control
handle – wrap your thumb around the handle.
Hold the trimmer firmly with your the left hand on the left
handle – wrap your thumb around the handle.
11.3 Mowing
The cutting height is determined by the distance of the
cutting attachment from the ground.
Swing the trimmer back and forth in an arc (A). If you are
using a metal cutting attachment: Mow with the left-hand
side on the metal cutting attachment (B).
Walk slowly and steadily forwards.
11.4 Sawing
Support the left side of the deflector against the stem.
Cut through the stem at full speed.
11.5 Adjusting Nylon Line
11.5.1 Line Feed on AutoCut Mowing Head
Tap the rotating mowing head on the ground.
About 30 mm of fresh nylon line is advanced. The line
limiting blade in the deflector trims the mowing lines to the
correct length.
Automatic feed does not operate if the mowing lines are
shorter than 25 mm.
Shut off the engine.
Depress the spool (1) on the mowing head and hold it
depressed.
