5.2 Servicing the
intermediate gear
(HSE 71, HSE 81)
5.2.1 Removing the gear
– Expose the drive gear, b 5.1.1.
– Remove the loop handle,
b 6.1.2.
Up to serial number 9 72 393 577
: Remove the spacer washer (1).
: Remove the gear (2).

: Remove the collar busing (1).
: Remove the gear (2).
5.2.2 Removing the bearing
– Remove the gear, b 5.2.1.
: Drive out both bearings (1) at the
same time.

5.2.3 Installing the bearings
: Use press to install a bearing (1)
at each side.
5.2.4 Installing the gear
Up to serial number 9 72 393 577
: Fit the gear (1) on the shaft in the
gear housing.
: Fit the spacer washer (2) on the
shaft in the gear housing.
– Mount the loop handle, b 6.2.5.
– Install the drive gear, b 5.1.5.
