Models with ErgoStart
As the spring seat is deeper on this
model, the rewind spring cannot be
fitted directly in the fan housing.
: Fit the anchor loop in its seat
(arrow) in the frame.
: Fit the rewind spring (1)
counterclockwise in the frame.
: Check the washer (1) and
replace it if necessary.

Slip the frame (1) with the rewind
spring over the starter post.
Position the frame (1) so that the
spring's anchor loop (arrow) lines
up with the lug on the fan
housing.
: Use a suitable tool to push the
anchor loop (arrow) over the lug
and into its seat in the fan
housing.
: Apply tool to openings (arrows) to
push the rewind spring into its
seat in the fan housing.

: Press the frame (1) against the
rewind spring and rotate it slightly
clockwise until the spring is
properly seated.
Carefully remove the frame.
Check that the rewind spring (1) is
properly seated and the anchor loop
engages the lug (arrow).
Secure the spring so that it
cannot pop out.
Install the rope rotor, b

Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.
