13 Transporting
13.1 Transporting the Pressure Washer
When transporting the pressure washer:
► Pull the pressure washer by the handle (1) with one hand,
or carry the pressure washer by the pushbar (1) and
carrying handle (2).
► When transporting the pressure washer in a vehicle,
ensure that the pressure washer is standing upright, lying
on its back, secured with lashing straps, belts or a net and
cannot topple over or move.
14.1 Storing the Pressure Washer
WARNING
Store the pressure washer indoors in a dry, secure place
that is inaccessible to children and other unauthorized
users, @ 5.5. Improper storage can result in unauthorized
use and damage to the pressure washer, @ 5.5.
When storing the pressure washer for three months or
longer:
► Clean the pressure washer, @ 15.1.
► Store the pressure washer indoors in a dry and secure
location, out of the reach of children and other
unauthorized persons.
► If the pressure washer cannot be stored in a room where
it is protected from freezing temperatures, protect the
pressure washer or as outlined above, @ 12.2.
NOTICE
Freezing temperatures can damage components of the
pressure washer. STIHL recommends storing the pressure
washer indoors in a dry room where it is protected from
freezing temperatures. Relieve all system pressure and
make sure all water is eliminated from the pump system and
hoses before storing.
15.1 Cleaning the Pressure Washer
WARNING
Before carrying out any of the cleaning work specified in this
chapter @ 6, take certain measures to reduce the risk of
personal injury from unintended activation: switch off the
pressure washer and disconnect the unit from the power
supply. Relieve all system pressure by pulling the trigger
switch and lock the spray gun trigger.
To clean the pressure washer:
► Clean the pressure washer's polymer components,
couplings and connectors with a slightly dampened cloth.
Do not use abrasives or solvents that may damage the
pressure washer's polymer components.
► Do not use a pressure washer to clean the unit or spray it
with water or other liquids.
