Sharpening Limits
Chisel tooth:
– Sharpening depth: max. 5 mm
– Top plate must not be sharpened
back to more than half its length.
– Tooth set must not be less than
1mm.
Scratcher tooth
– Sharpening depth: no more than
diameter of blade body.
– Do not reduce tooth height by more
than 1/3.
– Do not touch back of next tooth with
grinding wheel.
Carbide tipped blade
– Sharpen carbide tip only – do not
sharpen material of blade body.
Checking Tooth Set
After sharpening chisel tooth saw
blades:
: Use saw set (special accessory) to
check tooth set (a) and correct if
necessary.
