7.3. Installing the membrane
If the membrane is not yet installed at the site of installation (membrane is delivered sealed in plastic lm),
it must be installed.
Use the supplied membrane and, if applicable, the housing key:
Proceed as follows to insert the membrane:

Pull the module housing out of the retaining clips.

Unscrew the cover of the module housing.
If it is too securely fastened, use the supplied
housing key (detach the hose rst).

It is important that you remove the plastic lm
from the membrane without damaging the latter.

Apply a very light coating of silicone or neutral
grease (Vaseline) to the two small seals and the
large special seal.

Insert the membrane.

The membranes for the SUW 120 and SUW 400 are not interchangeable!
Push the membrane into the housing with the pure water manifold pipe rst (two small seals). When
you feel a denite resistance, the membrane must be pushed in another couple of millimeters.
