6. PRE-LOADING THE CANVAS
NOTICE
When pre-loading the roller, ensure the roller is rotated toward the crossbars/aft of the boat. Rotating the roller in the opposite direction
will release the tension spring and prevent the roller from working.

pre-load the canvas.
A. Pre-load the roller 5-10 full revolutions by rotating the canvas and roller toward the crossbars/aft of
the boat. Canvas and roller need to rotate together.
1) Stand behind the roller facing the front of the boat and grab the canvas and roller with both
hands. (See Figure 21.)
