Before a camera is sent for repair, the following steps must be carried out:
1. We must rst check:
a. That the cables are correctly attached
b. The mechanical condition of the camera; waterproong, trace of impact, etc.
c. That the cables are correctly attached
d. The presence of the correct power supply voltage on the camera power supply
connector
2. Restart the camera electrically by cutting off and reconnecting the power supply.
3. Connect a portable PC directly to the camera using a RJ45 cable. Use the VSS software
tool to check that the camera is present on the network.
4. Try to connect to the camera, check that there is an image and that the plates of
passing vehicles are read
5. Carry out the rmware update.
If after having carried out all these operations, the sensor is not satisfactory, it may be
necessary to return it for repairs.

The update can be carried out remotely on the IP network. Should the update fail, due to
an interruption of network or power supply, a rmware backup remains in the camera, for
security.
