FI/Engine coolant Temperature
Indicator 3
The FI/engine coolant temperature
indicator comes on for two seconds
when the ignition switch is turned on.
If the FI system fails or the coolant
temperature becomes too high, the
red indicator light 3 comes on in the
following three modes:
FI system failure
A. The red indicator light 3 comes
on and remains lit when the FI
system has a failure.
B. The red indicator light 3 blinks
one time a second when the FI
system has a serious failure.
Engine coolant overheat
C. The red indicator light 3 blinks
quickly two times a second when
the engine coolant temperature
becomes too high.
The engine may continue to run in
mode A and C, but the engine will not
start in mode B.
NOTE:
• If the red indicator light comes on
and indicates FI system failure,
keep the engine running until you
return to your base of operations.
Bring your vehicle to an autho-
rized Suzuki dealer as soon as
possible. If the engine stalls, try
restarting the engine after turning
off the ignition switch. Wait more
than 3 seconds before turning on
the ignition switch.
• If the red indicator light blinks one
time a second, the engine will not
start. If the engine is running,
keep the engine running until you
return to your base of operations.
Bring your vehicle to an autho-
rized Suzuki dealer as soon as
possible.
• Make sure that the engine stop
switch is in the “RUN” position.

inspect the fuel injection system
or cooling system as soon as pos-
sible.
