BOOST TIME
The function for the Boost operating mode
can be adjusted by selecting the length of
the boost period to 30, 60 or 120 minutes.
Continuous boost can also be selected. If con-
tinuous boost is selected, the ventilation unit
remains in boost mode until the operating
mode is changed from the control panel.
TRAVELLING
You can reduce the ventilation unit’s power
consumption by using the “Travelling” func-
tion, when the home is empty for long
periods to restrict the ventilation’s output and
supply air temperature.
“Travelling” mode’s fan speeds and tempera-
ture reduction can be set from the “Settings”
menu.
External cooling is not permitted when the
“Travelling” function is selected.
FIREPLACE FUNCTION
The smart fireplace function facilitates light-
ing the fire and ensures clean combustion.
Problems caused by too little draught in an
open fireplace usually occur in the autumn,
when the temperature difference between the
indoor and outdoor air is slight and the chim-
ney is cold. The fireplace function decreases
the extract air fan speed and increases the
supply air fan speed. This produces temporary
excess pressure in the home while the fire is
ignited and in this way creates an updraught
in the chimney. After the first phase passes
the fireplace function switches to mainte-
nance mode and compensates the need of
combustion air. The function can be cancelled
from the control panel.
The fireplace function can be modified from
the “Settings” menu.
Use of the fireplace function in extreme cold
can cause freezing in the ventilation unit.
2.3 Commissioning the panel
When the Smart control panel is put into
service for the first time it starts up in
commissioning mode. The first thing that
appears on the screen is the language
selection. You can scroll through the language
options using the up and down buttons. The
desired language is activated by pressing the
select button.
The “Basic Settings” menu appears once you
have selected the language. If the time and
day of the week have already been set in the
system you can accept the settings with the
select button. If the information is missing or
inaccurate, you should set them. If the system
already has a panel whose “Display ID” is 1,
you need to give the other panel the value 2.
2.4 Smart functions
The functions displayed under the "Smart
functions" menu varies depending on how
the ventilation unit is equipped and the
choices made during the commissioning
phase. However, all Smart functions are
described here.
You can activate the required function from the
Smart functions menu. There is an option box
in the menu for the background functions that
indicates whether the function is in use or not.
All Smart-boosting can be stopped temporari-
ly by pressing a selection button on the screen
or on the cooker hood. If wish you can reset
boost by selecting Home mode again.
On models W03VR05SL00A and
W03VL05SL00A of the W3 ventilation unit the
fireplace function, cooker hood function and the
central vacuum cleaner function are not available.
