Bear

mind

dynamic

line.
Limitinir
may
be
more
pleasinir
to
the
ear
than
clippina
distortion,
but
it
doesn't
sound
irood
enouah
to
be
used
for
more
than
6dB
attenuation.

De-essers
are
used
to
reduce
the
level
of
certain
hiirh
frequency
vocal
sounds
like
sibilance,
over-emphasized
fricatives,
and
lip
smackinir.
The
528
' s
de-esser
pro
v
ides
control
over
much
lower
frequencies
than
would
normally
be
considered
"essinir."
However,
as
can
be
seen
in
the
response
iiraphs
shown
alonirside
their
control
settinirs
below,
the
versatility
of
the
de-esser
is
iireatly
enhanced
by
the
variety
of
available
combinations
produced
by
the
RANGE
and
FREQUENCY
controls.
