the drip pan. The water will then drip onto the countertop or frame of the machine. This is normal.
• Clean water under the machine indicates and internal leak. Have a technician perform further diagnos-
cs.
• In the case of a large leak in which water is collecng in the machine frame or pooling signicantly below
the machine, power down and unplug the machine and shut o the main water supply unl a technician
has repaired the leak.
Vacuum Breaker:
• When the machine is heang from cool and begins to build pressure from zero, it is normal for the vacu-
um breaker to spuer unl the steam tank is near full pressure.
• If spuering occurs when the steam tank is near or at the set pressure, have a technician replace the vac-
uum breaker.
General Issues
Beeping Machine:
• Low level alarm probe is not grounding out. Power cycle the machine. Ensure the tank is lling. Check for
adequate water ow to the machine. Have a technician perform further diagnoscs.
Portalter Stopping Point is O
• Under normal circumstances, when the portalters are fully engaged the handle will face the barista. If
the portalter stopping point is occurring before this point (handle points to the le), check that the
standard size 8.5 mm gaskets are being used and that the gasket is seated fully around the diuser block.
• If the portalter stopping point is occurring aer the normal point (handle points to the right), inspect
the “ears” of the portalter for wear. If brass is showing on the ears, try using the taller 9mm gaskets.
Alternately, you can replace the portalter head.
Pump/Motor is Making an Unusual Sound:
• Make sure the water to the pump is fully on. Check the lters for clogs, change if needed. Check the wa-
ter lines for kinks.
• Pump may be worn and in need of replacement.
High-Pitched Whistling Noise When Groups are Acve:
• Water is leaking out from the brew system. Check for VMUF0# error. Have a technician inspect the ex-
pansion valve and brew valve discharge for unusual ow.
