Stable Instrument Operation
It is important to monitor the operating behavior of the Nano ITC in order to be able to recognize unusual
behavior that indicates abnormal conditions. The following guidelines are typical of normal operation.
The following table lists typical ranges of variation when the cells have been filled with degassed
deoinized water and allowed to settle with the syringe and reference needles in place, with room tempera-
ture controlled to within +/- 1 °C.
Table 3: Typical Values of System Variables During Steady Operating Conditions
ITC Run Tab Signal Typical Values
Monitor Heat rate (ITC) Variation < 0.02 µWatt (stirring off)
Monitor Heat rate (earlier ITC model) Variation < 0.2 µWatt (stirring off)
System Cell block temp (ITC) Variation < 0.000040°C
System Compensation (V) (ITC) ± 0.0004 V (stirring 200 rpm or less)
