OPERATION
Starting and Stopping the Engine
Before Starting the Engine
1. Adjust the seat and fasten the seat belt.
2. Check that the safety lock lever is in the
locked position.
3. Check that all the controls are in the neutral
position.
4. Insert the key into the starter switch, turn
it to the ON position, then perform the
following inspection:
IMPORTANT: Do not start the engine
before the power mode lamp (L) lights.
• On Instrument Cluster
Check that the power mode lamp (L) is
lit.
All the warning lamps flash and an alarm
sounds for 2 seconds. The meters also
start functioning. After 2 seconds, only
the battery charge warning lamp (1) and
engine oil pressure warning lamp (2)
flash, and the other lamps go off.
• On Control Console
The brake oil and third auxiliary hydraulics
warning lamps illuminate and will stay lit
until the engine starts.
• Turn the light switches to check that all
the lights come on.
• Check the fuel level.
If the lamps do not light or the alarm does not
sound, the bulb may be burnt out or a wire
may be damaged. Contact a Takeuchi sales
or service outlet for repairs.
