10. Monitor and Control System
10.1. Control System Overview
The control system is used for a variety of functions, the most important of which is ensuring that the
amplifier or transmitter continues to operate in a safe manner. The control system also allows the user to
monitor and control the amplifier or transmitter from both the front panel and remotely through the parallel
port, Ethernet, or SNMP access port.
The control system is comprised of three modules. These modules work together to provide all the
functions of the control system and include: OLED Display, Exciter, and Interface modules. The functions
of the control system are illustrated in the following block diagrams.
