5.4 Browsing to the Gateway
The 2 configuration options generate 2 ways to browse to the DSL device:
• AT&T VPN Gateway / Cisco Multi-user environment:
On the LAN side only the yellow LAN Ethernet-port 4 is supported by the DHCP server on the Gateway, and
functions as management port. The Gateway has as IP-address 192.168.1.254, mask 255.255.255.0. You can
browse to
http://192.168.1.254
A user name and password is requested. You have submitted this during the configuration phase. If you have
not supplied any user name, the default user name “ATTuser” without password is active. The name is case-
sensitive.
Only in the Austria configuration DHCP-server function is not activated, it is required to assign a static IP-
address to the LAN interface of the workstation, example 192.168.1.1 mask 255.255.255.0.
• AT&T Managed VPN Single-user environment:
The Gateway has as IP-address 192.168.1.254, mask 255.255.255.0. You can browse to
http://192.168.1.254
By default the user ATTuser is allowed in but has limited rights. In section 4.3 is explained how to elevate the
rights. The username and password are case-sensitive.
