Ratings
To set a ratings level
Go to “2 Ratings”, select a level between 7 and 0, press [ENTER]
and enter a password.
1 Press the
numbered buttons
on the remote
control to enter a
four-digit
password.
2 Press [ENTER]
twice.
The initial settings screen is displayed.
Do not forget your password.
Note
To change the setting
After you have set the level to a level between 7 and 0, use the
following operation to change the setting.
1. Select “2 Ratings” and press [ENTER].
2. Enter your four-digit password with the
numbered buttons and press [ENTER].
3. Press the cursor buttons to ( ) select the
item you want to change and press [ENTER].
1 Unlock Player (the rating level returns to 8)
2 Change Password
3 Change Level
4 Temporary Unlock
Follow the instructions on the screen to make changes.
Delay time
Changing the delay time allows you to make up for differences in
distance between the speakers and the listening position.
1 Press the cursor buttons ( ) to select
delay time of the speaker you want to adjust
(ms) and press [ENTER].
2 Press the cursor buttons ( or ) to change
the setting.
(Refer to “Calculating delay time” below)
3 Press [ENTER].

Center speaker
If DF is less than or equal to DC, then set the delay time to 0ms.
If DF is greater than DC, then set the delay time as follows.
Surround speakers
If DF is less than or equal to DS, then set the delay time to 0ms.
If DF is greater than DS, then set the delay time as follows.
When you insert a DVD that exceeds the ratings
level you set
The following screen appears that allows you to temporarily unlock
the player so you can play the disc. (The player locks again if the
disc tray is opened or the unit is turned off.)
1 Press the cursor
buttons ( or ) to
select “Yes” and press
[ENTER].
2 Use the numbered
buttons to enter your
four-digit password.
3 Press [ENTER] twice.
