1.2 Engine Identification
The serial number of the engine is provided on the data plate on
the crankcase near the starter flange. 
Example:

 Note: When making inquiries, always have the serial number of the
engine ready.
 Note: Further information for understanding of the key for serial
numbers of the engine is published in the Service Bulletin 
TM TAE 000-0005.
