15 Cleaning
To prevent the risk of electric shock, you must not clean the device using a wet
cloth or under running water. Prior to cleaning, disconnect the mains plug and
switch o the device!
You must not use scouring pads, scouring powder or solvents such as alcohol
or petrol.
Do not use any of the following substances: Salt water, insecticides, solvents
containing chlorine or acids (ammonium chloride).
Clean the housing using a so, damp cloth. Do not use spirits, thinners, etc.;
you could damage the surface of the device.
Only clean the display with a so, coon cloth. If required, use a coon cloth
with small amounts of non-alkaline, diluted, water-based or alcohol-based
soap solution.
Gently clean the surface using the coon cloth.
16 Troubleshooting
If the device does not operate as intended, check the following table for information.
Symptom Possible cause/remedy
The device cannot be switched on. The device is not being supplied with power.
Connect the power supply unit correctly to the
socket and to the device.
No sound can be heard. Increase the volume.
The display does not switch on. Disconnect the device from the power supply
and then reconnect it.
Poor reception via DAB+/FM. Fully extend the antenna. Change the position
of the antenna or the DIGITRADIO 3.
The device cannot be operated. Disconnect the device from the power supply
and then reconnect it.
Poor Bluetooth connection and
dropouts
Do not exceed the maximum Bluetooth range
of 10 m.
USB playback not possible. The device is not in USB mode.
Switch to the respective source using MODE.
Medium not inserted or empty.
Insert the medium correctly or
provide it with music data.
