Tropical climates and condensation are not a problem because the load
pins comply with protection class IP 67 in accordance to
EN 60529:1991+A1:2000 / IEC 529. The entire measuring spring is
made of stainless steel. The design of the accessory cable also com-
plies with protection class IP 67. The IP67 protection is guaranteed only
when connected.
5.3 Deposits
Dust, dirt and other objects are not allowed to form deposits in such a
way that they create a force shunt to the measuring spring, which would
falsify the measuring signal.
6 Mechanical installation conditions of load pins
6.1 Precautions to take during assembly
Force measuring equipment is extremely sensitive and must be han-
dled carefully.
Attention must be paid to the installation position and therefore the
load direction when the load pins are being installed.
Torsional moments, transverse or centric loads and side forces cause
measurement errors and can damage the load pin permantly.
Care must therefore be taken to keep the load pin free of lateral loads
and torsion during assembly
Overloading must be prevented at all times.
The output signal is noted on the name plate (Fig. 1 to 3, p. 30-31).
The connection assignments are also noted on the name plate (Fig. 1
to 3, p. 30-31) and can also be found in the section entitled
“Electrical connection”. The polarity must be correct at all times.
