4 . Set the ΒTRIGGER
SLOPE switch
to IN and observe
that the
intensified portion
begins on the n
egative slope .
5 . Observe
that the length
of the Β Delaye
d Sweep de-
creases
when t he Β DELAY
TIME POSITION
control is ro-
tated
clockwise and increases
when the
control is rotate d
counterclockwise
. .
6 . Select the
Α HORIZONTAL
MODE .
1 . Set
b oth t he CH 1
an d CH 2 V OLTS/DIV
switches to
1 V (1 Χ ) and
adjust the
generator output
to p rovide α 5-
division
display .
U sing the Ζ -Axis Input
1 . Disconnect the
d ual-input coupler
from the CH 2 input
connector and connect
α b nc-female-to-bnc-female
ad apter
to the d isconnected end
of the coupler .
2 . Connect α 42-inch,
50 Ω bnc cable
from the Z-AXIS
INPUT
connector
(located on the rear
panel) to the dual-
input
coupler via the
bnc-female-to-bnc-female
adapter .
3 . Set the
Channel 1 V
OLTS/DIV switch
to 1 V (1 Χ ) and
adjust the output
of the square-wave
generator
to provide α
5-division d isplay
.
4 . Observe
that the positive p eaks of the
waveform are
blanked, indicating
intensity modulation
(a d just the Α IN-
TENSITY control as
necessary) .
5 . Disconnect the
50 Ω cable from the
Z-AXIS INPUT
connector
and disconnect
the d ual-in p ut
coupler from the
CH 1 input
connector .
