When the leading edges of the same pulse are exactly superimposed, the
DM44 display should indicate 0000. If it does not, adjust the ZERO ADJ
control with a small screwdriver so that the display reads 0000.
The system is now compensated for small time differences between the two
input channels. Measurements such as those described in the 47sA/DM44
Operators manual may be taken directly from the DM44 display without hav-
ing to perform the algebraic addition of the transit-time difference.
Transit Time Compensation. Transit time correction range of the ZERO ADJ con-
trol when the DM44 is set for TIME or l/TIME and the added front-panel switch
is set for INDEPENDENT corrects for internal Ch l/Ch 2 transit-time difference,
plus the following additional range to accommodate probe transit-time dif-
ferences:

The ZERO ADJ adds a fixed numerical correction to the digital readout for each
decade TIME/DIV range. The absolute time correction is valid only for one
TIME/DIV decade. Use at sweeps slower than 2 ~s/div is not recommended.
