Amplifier U1641A produces a voltage that is proportional
to both the input resistance selected , and the voltage ap
plied to the input . Feedback is ordinarily through R1752 for
low - level inputs , but in the case of a large voltage ( such as
the
highest
frequency range
)
CR1750 conducts
to
reduce
the stage gain by a factor that varies nonlinearily to approxi
mately 3.5 at the highest input voltage .
The lower
section of the
amplifier
is nearly
the same ,
except that the input voltage is V only . The output of

Peak adjust
ment is set so that the uppermost peak tracks the
lowermost
peak .
