WARNING
Dangerous
potentials exist at
several points through-
out
this
instrument.
When the instrument is
operated
with
the covers
removed, do not touch
exposed
connections or
components. Disconnect
power before
cleaning
the instrument
or
replacing
parts.
PRELIMINARY
PROCEDURE
a. Check
that correct
nominal line selector block ha:
been
installed on the
line selector pins on the
Powe
Module
and that
the regulating range selected
includes th<
input

b. Remove
the
SC 501
side
covers and connect
th(
SC

Power Module using
the
plug-in extender.
c. Connect
the Power Module to the

adjustments. Be
certain that
the

tolerance and
that
all
controls on
the

and note
the position of the trace at X10
setting.
Return vertical VARIABLE
to XI
position.
Adjust R142
(Bal)
to set
trace
to same
position
as
the
VARIABLE

setting.
Repeat the above
procedure
until there
is
one-half minor division or
less of
trace
