Instructions for Stainless Steel Vertical Column Installation

2.1. Instructions Series 5
After unpacking the Series column, remove
the pre-assembled closing module. To do so,
please remove the three securing strips and
where necessary the protective film*
of the
closing module. Guide the connection cables
through the column foot, prior to screwing the
column to the foundation. Use hex screws and
plugs, stud bolts or stay bolts to fix the Series
column to the concrete foundation (See
chapter “. Foundation sketch” on page ).
We recommend using screws etc. with a mm
diameter and a length of mm minimum.
Important! Please adhere to the torque indi-
cation for tightening as provided by the screw
manufacturer.
Please note: The fastening materials are not
included in the box.
Connect the Series device to the infrastruc-
ture (cf. included user manual for Series door
intercom stations) and install it at the top end of
the column. Test the door intercom station.
Insert the closing module into the Series
column and use the screws*
provided
( pcs, M x mm) to fix it.

Please ensure that the column and the Series intercom station you wish to install are compatible
with each other prior to installation (the cover panel differs depending on the height of the door
intercom station).
* Where the installation is not level on the concrete
foundation, this may lead to the column body
being warped, which then may result in problems
concerning the columns’ waterproofness.

Please note: Be careful when fixing the screws!
The threaded tube in the Series column profile
is self-tapping.
