7.8.10 Hydraulic oil return filter
Changing the filter insert
• Switch off the engine.
• Remove the cover (58/1) of the return filter (57/2)
using an auxiliary tool and unscrew.
• Check the condition and seal (58/2) of the cover
(58/1).
• Pull out the filter element (58/3) and dispose of
according to regulations.
• Clean the filter bowl if necessary.
• Check O-rings and replace any damaged part.
• Check the condition of the clogging indicating
sensor.
• Insert a new filter element.
• Apply a light coat of grease (58/2) to the cover and
tighten (58/1) the cover by hand.
• Check the tightness of the filter.
7.8.11 Breather
• Remove the breather (57/1), replace it by a new
filter and tighten so that it is hand-tight.

Attention
• After a larger repair job, renew the filter
insert following the test run.
• Damaged hydraulic attachments may
shorten the operating life of the return filter.
Attention
Always place a receptacle for the collection of
waste oil under the working area when
draining oil or removing the filter insert.

Attention
The breather must also be replaced if it is
dirty, for example due to hydraulic oil vapor.
