A digital recording with the SoundSystem SiXPack 5.1 + is not affected by the settings men-
tioned above.
The Copy Protection.
It is possible to place a copy protection onto recordings during transfer to another device. This
makes sense if, for example, you record a composition on DAT or MiniDisc as a demo but do
not want further (digital) copies to be made. To do this, activate the "Copyright Bit" button for
the digital output in the Digital menu of the Control Panel.
Backup.
The digital interface of the SoundSystem as well as the accompanying software cannot be used
for data backup on DAT. In principle, this can be done, however - cheaper backup options such
as CDs are common today and are less time intensive.
