7.8 MOWING_________________________________________________________________________
To mow:
1. Set the PTO switch to the ON position. When the PTO switch is in the ON position, the joystick is set to automatic
mode and the TCS is active.
2. Push and release the joystick. The front and rear cutting units will lower to the ground. When the cutting units are
lowered, the blades will start turning.
3. Turn the left and right wing switch ON to lower the wing cutting units to the ground. When the cutting units are
lowered, the blades will start turning.
4. To lift the front and rear cutting units, pull and release the joystick. Front and rear cutting units will lift to the
crosscut position and the blades will stop. To lift the cutting units to the transport position, pull and hold the
joystick until the cutting units are completely lifted.
5. Press the rear portion of the left and right wing switch to the OFF position to lift the wing cutting units and stop the
blades.
6. Press and release the TCS switch to deactivate traction control.
To install the mulching plate:
Do not operate the cutting units without the rear deflector chute or the mulching plate installed.
1. Push the PTO switch to the OFF position, lower the cutting units to the ground, turn the parking brake switch ON
and stop the engine.
2. Remove the three nuts that hold the deflector chute to the housing.
3. Remove the deflector chute and assemble the mulching plate. Fasten the mulching plate with three nuts. Keep
the deflector chute in a safe location for use in the future.
WARNING
To prevent injuries, when the blades rotate, keep your hands, feet and clothing away from the cutting unit.
NEVER use your hands to clean the cutting units. Use a brush to remove grass from the blades. The blades can be
sharp and can cause injury.
DO NOT operate the cutting units without the rear deflector chute or the mulching plate installed.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the mower, make sure that the wing transport latch is disengaged before you turn the wing
switch to the ON position.
