10.7 TCS CALIBRATION ________________________________________________________
When a system component is replaced or the system does not operate correctly, you must calibrate the TCS. The TCS
components include the controller, lift valve, lift cylinder and hydraulic hoses.
Allow the hydraulic system to become warm. The TCS must be calibrated with the engine in operation and an operator
must be in the seat during the calibration.
a Start the engine and move the throttle to the fast position.
b Turn the parking brake switch to the OFF position and turn ON the PTO switch. Make sure that light on TCS
switch is illuminated.
c Completely lower all of the cutting units to the ground.
d Allow the mower to operate for fifteen minutes.
e Push the PTO switch to the OFF position and turn the parking brake switch to the ON position.
f Use the joystick to completely lower the front and rear cutting units. Confirm that the front and rear cutting units
are on the ground. Turn the left and right wing switch to the OFF position to lift the wing cutting units.
g Press and hold the TCS switch until the horn activates. The horn will activate when the controller enters
calibration mode.
h Pull and release the joystick. Wait for 3 to 5 seconds. Repeat if needed until the cutting units start to lift.
i Push and release the joystick and wait until the cutting units stop mowing. Repeat if needed until front cutting
units are on the ground.
j Press and hold the TCS switch until the horn activates. The TCS is calibrated.
WARNING
Never operate the engine without enough ventilation or in an enclosed area. The carbon monoxide in the exhaust
fumes can increase to dangerous levels.
While the hydraulic system becomes warm, the cutting unit blades will turn. Make sure that the area around the
cutting units is clean. Clear away any objects that can be discharged from the mower. Keep persons away from the
mower.
NOTICE
When you start and complete the TCS calibration, do not release the TCS switch until the horn stops.
Do not move quickly through steps h and i. The system will not calibrate correctly if the cutting units do not start to
lift during step h and are not completely lowered during step i.
To cancel the calibration mode, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position
