10.8 WING WEIGHT TRANSFER ADJUSTMENT _____________________________________
Jacobsen recommends you set the wing weight transfer pressure to
250 psi (17.2 BAR). If you set the wing weight transfer pressure
greater than 600 psi (41.4 BAR), the decks will float off the ground.
To set the weight transfer pressure:
1. Loosen the knob locknut.
2. Rotate the adjustment knob to the left side until the knob
reaches the inner stop.
3. Rotate the adjustment knob to the right side to reach the
necessary weight transfer pressure. Each full turn of the
adjustment knob will increase or decrease the weight transfer
pressure by 100 psi (6.9 BAR). To set the pressure to 250 psi
(17.2 BAR), rotate the knob 2-1/2 turns.
4. Tighten the knob locknut to set the adjustment.
10.9 WING LIFT ARM STOP BOLT ADJUSTMENT ___________________________________
The wing lift arm stop bolts are adjusted to keep the wing pivot arm
and the wing lift arm in a straight line. To adjust the stop bolt, loosen
the flange nut and turn the stop bolt into or out of the wing pivot arm.
If the shear bolt is damaged, always replace the bolt with Grade 5
hardware. To prevent damage to the mower, do not replace the bolt
with a higher grade of hardware.
