1.1 Introduction

Controller is a control cabinet for use with a DeltaV
™
control platform
from Emerson
™
Process Management and Thermo Scientific
™
TruBio
™
DV Control Software.
The G3Pro Universal Controller is designed to operate vessels, up to
2000 L, from Thermo Scientific as well as other major brands.
The controller consists of a utility tower and a Vessel Adapter Box
(VAB). The stainless-steel utility tower enclosure is rated NEMA12 or
optionally NEMA4X. The enclosure contains the sensor transmitters,
power supplies, pumps, and I/O. It also contains the hardware required
to connect to the control network and interface to the TruBio Software.
Each controller also has eight (8) additional analog input
connectors (4–20 mA) plus four (4) auxiliary control loop connectors
(0–10 V) for system expansion capability.
A separate computer is required for the controller’s user interface.
