Gas and liquid handling
2.1 TruFlow gas manifold
The TruFlow gas manifold is designed to accurately control the flow of
gases into the bioreactor vessel. It is controlled by the G3Pro Controller
and is designed to be placed on top of the controller. There are six
12.5 mm (1/2-inch) diameter holes in the top of the controller for the feet
of the TruFlow to engage and three associated solenoid valves. Position
the TruFlow so the feet engage the appropriate holes for maximum
stability.
The TruFlow is shipped with yellow plastic caps on the inlet and outlet
ports to protect against dust. Remove the plastic caps from all ports to
be used.
The TruFlow available comes with six inlets, one headspace (HS) outlet,
as well as two sparger outlets (SPG-1, SPG-2), as shown in Figure 2.1
below.
