Solution:Dothefollowing:
–Pressthebrightness-upkey
tobringuptheimage.
–Ifyouareusingtheacpoweradapter,orusingthebatteryandthebatterygaugeshowsthatthebattery
isnotdepleted,pressthebrightness-upkey
tomakethescreenbrighter.
–Ifyourcomputerisinsleepmode,pressFntoresumefromthesleepmode.
–Iftheproblempersists,followthesolutionforthefollowingproblem.
•Problem:Thescreenisunreadableordistorted.
Solution:Makesurethat:
–Thedisplaydevicedriverisinstalledcorrectly.
–Thescreenresolutionandcolorqualityarecorrectlyset.
–Themonitortypeiscorrect.
Tocheckthesesettings,dothefollowing:
1.Connecttheexternalmonitortoyourcomputer,andthenconnectthemonitortoanelectricaloutlet.
2.Right-clickonthedesktop,anddothefollowing:
–ForWindows7andWindows8.1:ClickScreenresolution.
–ForWindows10:ClickDisplaysettings,showthedisplayedwindowinfullscreen,andthen
clickAdvanceddisplaysettings.
Note:Ifyourcomputercannotdetecttheexternalmonitor,clicktheDetectbutton.
3.SelecttheexternalmonitorandsetResolution.
4.Dothefollowing:
–ForWindows7andWindows8.1:ClickAdvancedsettings.
–ForWindows10:ClickDisplayadapterproperties.
5.ClicktheMonitortab.Checkthemonitorinformationtomakesurethatthemonitortypeiscorrect.
Ifthemonitortypeiscorrect,clickOKtoclosethewindow;otherwiseproceedwiththefollowingsteps.
1.Ifmorethantwomonitortypesaredisplayed,selectGenericPnPMonitororGenericNon-PnP
Monitor.
2.ClickProperties.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconfirmation,typethepassword
orprovideconfirmation.
3.ClicktheDrivertab.
4.ClickUpdateDriver.
5.ClickBrowsemycomputerfordriversoftware,andthenclickLetmepickfromalistofdevice
driversonmycomputer.
6.CleartheShowcompatiblehardwarecheckbox.
7.Selectthecorrectmanufacturerandmodelfortheexternalmonitor.Ifyoucannotfindyourmonitoron
thelist,stoptheinstallationofthisdriverandusethedrivershippedwithyourmonitor.
8.Afterupdatingthedriver,clickClose.
