TheLenovoThinkVantageToolbox,LenovoSystemToolbox(inWindowsVistaandWindowsXP),and
LenovoSolutionCenter(inWindows7)haveanautomaticbatterydiagnosticthatdeterminesifthebattery
packisdefective.AbatterypackFRUshouldnotbereplacedunlessthisdiagnosticshowsthatthebattery
isdefective.
Theonlyexceptiontothisisifthebatterypackisphysicallydamagedoracustomerisreportingapossible
safetyissue.
IfLenovoThinkVantageToolbox,LenovoSystemToolbox,orLenovoSolutionCenterisnotinstalledinthe
computer,thecustomershoulddownloadthisprogrambeforeanon-physicallydamagedbatterypackis
replaced.Notethatthereplacementofaphysicallydamagedbatterypackisnotcoveredbythewarranty.
