Chapter 7 Software Reference
7.1 Introduction
This chapter gives an explanation of the parameters and settings accessed from the
APT software running on a PC.
7.2 GUI Panel
The following screen shot shows the graphical user interface (GUI) displayed when
accessing the stepper controller using the APTUser utility.

Jog - used to increment or decrement the motor position. When the button is clicked,
the motor is driven in the selected direction at the jog velocity one step per click. The
step size and jog velocity parameters are set in the 'Settings' panel (see Section 7.3.).
Travel - displays the range of travel (in millimeters) of the motor.
Note
The serial number of the LTS stage associated with the GUI panel, the APT server
version number, and the version number (in brackets) of the embedded software
running on the unit, are displayed in the top right hand corner. This information
should always be provided when requesting customer support.
