5 Communication
5.1 The Serial Interface Of The Device
The display and control unit is equipped with serial interfaces RS232 and USB.
Via device address 100 settings for the VD12 / VD14 can be made. Device ad-
dress 1 to 4 enable direct access to the connected transducers and their
parameters, e.g. for the query of measurement values.
Communication telegrams are transmitted as ASCII text according to the Thy-
racont protocol version V2. Detailed information is provided in the separate
description "Thyracont Communication Protocol".
