- Cut the steerer tube to length, straight without drifting (use a hacksaw blade in good working
order) (fig. 6)
- Remove the tool and wipe off any carbon burrs and dust
We recommend cutting the steerer tube using a suitable guide
- TIME tool in the toolbox
- VAR FH 92900 tool
Cut perpendicularly to the steerer tube axis
4) Fit the stem back on
- Install the stem, leaving a 0.5 to 2 mm gap between the top end of the steerer tube and the upper
face of the stem (fig. 7)
- Insert the compression plug into the steerer tube.
- Align the stem
- Tighten the stem onto the steerer tube to 5 Nm (use a torque wrench) (fig.8)
